NAMI Family-to-Family is a free, 8-session education program for family, friends and significant others of adults with mental health conditions. This course provides information about anxiety, depressive disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and other mental health conditions. Other topics covered include communication, problem solving, treatment and recovery. The course is designed to increase understanding and advocacy skills while helping participants maintain their own well-being and is taught by trained family members who have a loved one with a mental health condition. NAMI Family-to-Family is an evidence-based program (EB). For information on what you will learn from this program:

Classes Begin on Tuesday September 29, 2026 in Paso Robles and runs through Tuesday November 17, 2026.

Classes start at 6:00 pm and finish at 8:30 pm

What’s so special about a Special Needs Trust

Please join us at our September General Meeting where Attorney Stew Jenkins will speak on Special Needs Trusts. Mr. Jenkins practice focuses on providing Estate Plans to protect clients during their lives and to pass on assets to their children or valued charities. He will explain how this can help our loved one after we are gone while protecting their benefit payments.

The potluck dinner will be Pizza and all participants are encouraged to bring a side or dessert.

PRESENTER: Stewart D. Jenkins is a graduate of San Luis Obispo Senior High School, and Cal Poly. Obtaining his law degree from Western State College of Law in 1978, the California Supreme Court admitted him as an Attorney and Counselor at Law that same year. Stew Jenkins has since practiced in San Luis Obispo County. His experience spans juvenile court, criminal court, and civil court matters from maritime accidents to real estate cases. His public interest cases have resulted in removal of Cannabis Billboards from Highway 101 and courts declaring Election Code statutes unconstitutional. Mr. Jenkins has successfully represented the Democratic Party and Republican Candidates in court, and has been repeatedly appointed as a Superior Court Special Master. Mr. Jenkins practice focuses on providing Estate Plans to protect clients during their lives and to pass on assets to their children or valued charities. Stew Jenkins hosts the weekend radio show on K-NEWS, FM 98.5: SLO COUNTY PUBLIC POLICY & THE LAW.
